Integrations

Integrations are like bridges that move information between Jira and other systems, or within Jira itself to update tasks.

To make a new integration, just click the "Create" button. There are four types to choose from:

  1. Action: This is like sending a message to another system. You can do things like get, send, update, or delete information using web requests.

  2. Catch Action: This is like setting up a trap. It waits for specific signals (HTTP response codes) from related actions or groups before it does something.

  3. Group: Imagine this like a folder where you organize your actions or catch actions.

  4. Iteration: This is a special action that repeats certain tasks based on the responses it gets from its parent action.

When creating an integration, you'll need to:

  1. Give it a name and choose the type.

  2. Decide where it fits (you can change this later).

  3. Use templates if you want an easy starting point.
