Azure DevOps Pricing, payment, and billing

1) Pricing Model

We offer tiered pricing per app, where each app has its own set of user tiers (e.g., 1–10, 11–100, 101+ users).

  • App determines the tier that matches their number of users.

  • Billing is based on the DevOps user tier for each app.

2) Billing Cycles

We support two billing cycles:

Monthly Billing

  • Customers pay each month based on current user count.

  • If user count changes mid-period, the next month reflects the updated tier.

Annual Billing

  • Customers pre-pay for a year at a discounted rate.

  • If users exceed the selected tier, customers upgrade to the next tier.

3) License Activation & Renewal

  • Licenses auto-renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual).

  • Customers must cancel before renewal to avoid being charged for the next period.

4) Upgrades & Downgrades

  • Customers can upgrade tiers at any time as their user count grows.

  • Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.

5) Free Trials (Optional)

We offer free trial periods for new customers, allowing them to test the app before purchasing.

6) Refund Policy

  • Monthly subscriptions: Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. Customers may cancel at any time to prevent future charges.

  • Annual subscriptions: Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase, provided the app has not been materially used.

  • No refunds are issued for renewals, tier upgrades already in effect, or unused time after the refund window.

  • Refund requests must be submitted via our support channel and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
