Fields settings from Custom field and context

By adding one or more context settings for a custom field you can configure the EDIT/VIEW rights for more than one project

Navigate to: Settings menu → “Issues” → “Custom Fields” → On your Protected Field → Dotted menu → Choose “Contexts and default values” → When page loads → Click “Edit custom field config”

On the custom field config edit page you will be able to set up the EDIT/VIEW permissions for the entire custom field context.

Note:

  • Any project specific settings for a protected field will override the context settings.

  • Un encrypted protected fields cannot have view permissions as they are viewable through exports and or the API.
